Inverse MRI, thermotherapy by focused radiofrequency energy

This project aims at developing and testing an original, non-invasive procedure of thermotherapy by focalization of the radiofrequency energy used in MRI for:
  • destroying with heat and electroporation solid tumours without need of percutaneous access,
  • using MRI thermography to assess in real time the obtained temperatures and calculate the energy absorbed by the targets
  • in situ activation of encapsulated treatments and for increasing the radiotherapy efficacy.
